Health Law
The risk of health-care access litigation can be anticipated
My practice has shown me that risk from all three sides of the table: financing, regulation and litigation. That is the perspective I bring to those who have to decide with the risk in front of them. I work with a network of professionals, so each matter is handled alongside a specialist in the relevant field.
Practice
International organisations and development banks
Technical analysis of access to health care and of the judicialisation of coverage in Latin America: how courts actually behave, what drives litigation, and what it costs the payer. Comparative work between Argentina and Brazil, grounded in fourteen years inside the Ibero-American health law network and in active litigation before provincial and federal courts, not only in the literature.
Life sciences: pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and medical devices
Market access and regulatory risk for high-cost technologies: the path from marketing authorisation to the coverage decision, the actors involved at each stage, and the litigation exposure that follows where no explicit priority-setting criteria exist. Engagements are accepted subject to a case-by-case conflict-of-interest check.
Foreign law firms and expert evidence
Opinion on Argentine law for proceedings and arbitrations abroad: constitutional and inter-American standards on the right to health, federal jurisdiction, amparo proceedings and interim relief. Country reports, expert reports and referral work.
Other matters: civil and commercial litigation, employment, family, succession and administrative law for companies operating in Argentina.
